I’m just now ordering a refill and per Amazon the last time I ordered this was the beginning of August last year. So it’s just a few days shy of a year. We use this once a week on all our floors and all are hardwood except for the galley kitchen & 3 baths in our 1600 sqft house. We used this at our previous house with hardwoods (approx 3-4 years) with no problems and we’re just over 3 years in this house now.
I noticed a poster complaining of build up. For us this has been the best cleaner that does not leave a build up that you can feel on your feet (we’re a barefoot house to keep the muck down). Truly, a remarkable appliance for someone who HATES mopping, like me! I opened the item tonight, quickly assembled it which took less than 2 minutes, and away I went! I “mopped” my entire 900 sq. ft. apartment in less than 15 minutes, with very, very minimal effort. Just turn it on, occasionally spray the cleaning solution and go. Seriously, it couldn’t be any easier. The white microfiber cloth afterwards was BLACK on the bottom, so I know it worked…and I thought my floors were clean!!! Just spend the $99 and get it, and never handle a drippy mop again.

The first mop I ordered broke immediately; the mop head snapped off and couldn’t be fixed. I contacted amazon and they shipped a replacement that arrived two days later. They sent a shipping label for return, but once the mop is put together, it can’t be disassembled; it wouldn’t fit in the box and it was 4 feet tall. When I told amazon this they cancelled the return and I didn’t have to send it back. The mop is far superior to the previous model. It is more solidly constructed and the spray bottle works really well, doesn’t collapse. A nice product and great customer service from amazon

I was hesitant about purchasing any floor cleaners because I grew up on the old school vinegar and water method, but after a bunch of research I decided to go with Bona. I bought the professional series because I was swayed by the reviews. Originally I purchased a bottle of the regular Bona from Home Depot and was very happy with the results. I can’t say I see a noticeable difference between the two, but it the professional does seem to get more dirt off the floor.
I like that I can mix this at my own pace, it isn’t harmful to the dogs if they walk on it (although the dogs might be harmful to the floor), and you don’t need all the extra gadgets to use it. I use an O-Cedar dust mop and microfiber towels to clean my floors. The smell isn’t horrible, … full review

I love this cleaner and have been using it for over a year. We have new acacia floors, as well as vinyl, tile, and even laminate in various places… and this cleaner keeps them all so clean and pretty. I use a spray bottle and a Quik mop with the washable covers. It does the job well and there is no build-up. The smell of this cleaner is nice, too: barely noticeable, light, and subtle.
Update: They have recently changed the scent. It used to be clean and subtle, almost almond-like…. now it has a decidedly floral tone. I much preferred the former scent.

Hi. I’m an artist. Which means I don’t earn much… but all the chores of a house husband. I don’t mind most chores. I do windows, despise dusting, and resent mopping. But you have to mop the porcelain floors or you can’t invite guests over.
It took a long time for me to figure out how to mop properly. I used one of those sponge mops (which you can pull back into itself to ring out the dirty water). Instead of ringing out into the same bucket, I’d ring into the sink and even wash the sponge. Picture this. Even in a moderately sized condo, I’d rinse the mop at least 20 times during once mopping. That’s a lot of hot water. So is the two gallon bucket I’d have to fill with Simple Green. Gallons of water and chemicals.

I love the Microfiber mops. I just bought my third, so I could have a different one for each level of the house. My other two are 16″. I like the extra width of the 18″, but the mop handle for this size is heavier and bulkier. It doesn’t matter when the mop is being pushed around the floor, but it’s a bit harder to carry and to put the mop pad onto.
I use the wet mop pads much more than the dusting pad (I tend to vacuum rather than dust–although I find that the dust pads get under furniture that the vacuum cleaner doesn’t reach), and they’re wonderful. I wet one, put it on the mop base, spray it with an appropriate hardwood floor cleaner (not essential, but it makes the mop glide better and the floor look better), and let it just about glide itself across the floor. … full review

I have been wanting a steam mop but have gotten overwhelmed by all the choices and conflicting reviews and info each time I started researching.
The 1806 was offered to me via the Amazon vine program and I snapped it up with high hopes.
We have tile and site finished hardwoods in our primary home and tile and laminate wood in our vacation home so I have a lot of floors to clean.
The area where I read the most conflicting information is on which, if any, wood flooring it is safe to use steam cleaners on.
Since the 1806 has a low and high function I felt safe testing the low on our laminate floors in vacation house,
I used the scrubbing cover and high setting for our tile baths with no cleaners. Having read that you need to hold steamer in place quite some time to sanitize, I put in a good audiobook … full review

I bought this for the spinning wringer feature, and it did not disappoint. The foot pedal is convenient and 1 million times better than having to push down and twist on my previous mop. Two things to note, however:
1) the mop itself isn’t anything special. It feels a little too short for me (5’ 9”) and the handle cracked after it fell on the ground. Now it comes off all the time, and drives me crazy. A rubber grippy handle would be a vast improvement. As it is, I’ll probably duct tape mine.
2) you can only fill the bucket about halfway, if you plan on using the spinner wringer. Otherwise the water will go up into the wringer, making it useless. I mention Titus because it doesn’t hold much water, so it gets dirtier quicker than you’d think. Not a deal breaker though.

My husband was skeptical about us actually “needing” this floor cleaner. However, upon the first use of it, he became a believer! He said he would give it a 10 out of 10. We have 3 large inside dogs; they track in quite a bit of mud. I have always mopped on my hands and knees twice a week, but it just wasn’t enough. I could never scrub hard enough. After one use, our floors were cleaner than we have ever seen them, (we have laminate and wood floors.) The machine was light-weight and easy to use. The side with the clean water stayed clean and the other side filled with the dirty water that was sucked up from our floor. Amazing! Everyone NEEDS this!

So far, I have nothing bad to say about this mop. I’ve owned a Swiffer for years but I got sick of paying for refill mop pads and cleaning solution. I wanted something similar that doesn’t require a mop bucket to use and this fits the bill. I love that you can use your own solution and wash and reuse the mop pad. Plus it seems to perform better overall in terms of picking up dirt after it’s loosened it. Worth the money!
